Good morning,
Late Friday evening, we received notice that Putnam County Executive, Mary Ellen Odell, issued a State of Emergency for Putnam County that will close schools in the county until at least Monday, March 23. It is likely, however, that these dates may be extended another five days. We thank Executive Odell for her leadership and partnership in helping keep our students and staff safe.
There is a tremendous amount of stress surrounding this rapidly changing situation and it has the potential to affect even our youngest students. Please keep watch over those around you and be sure to take care of yourself. I’m hopeful that everyone will have the opportunity this weekend to spend some quiet time with family.
Online learning will begin Monday, March 16. Please be on the lookout for additional communications over the next few days.
Thank you again for your patience. We will get through this together.
