Dear Putnam Valley Community:
The movie, Screenagers was thought provoking and vividly displayed the impact of “screen addictions” on teen learning and behavior. The young people in the documentary shared their own concerns about “screen addictions” and were genuinely grateful for the limits their parents set on screen time. It is clear that many children, and even adults, are struggling to find the right balance in a digital world.
Please see the attached information to assist with ongoing conversations. We need to continue to work together to provide the support and structure that will help our children with these challenges.
We can learn together and encourage each other in this quest. Thank you to our PTA, PTSA and clinical staff for bringing this movie to our students and families.
