Dear Putnam Valley Community:
The Board of Education has approved a resolution to move forward with the facilities project. A referendum will be placed before the voters on December 4 and the vote will be held from 6 am – 9 pm at Putnam Valley Elementary School.
The proposed project includes the following highlights:
Elementary School – creation of new innovative learning spaces and upgrades to existing auditorium/all purpose space
Middle School – creation of modern learning commons (library), renovation and expansion of kitchen and cafeteria/auditorium, creation of small group instructional spaces and addition of music lesson rooms, additional flexible classroom space, updated bathroom facilities, building upgrades, replacement of windows, HVAC improvements, upgrades to gymnasium, entry canopy)
High School/Middle School campus – creation of a Health and Wellness Center to support academics, athletics and the community (Interscholastic sports: modified, Junior Varsity, Varsity, HS classes; Physical Education, Physics, Health etc., and community youth athletic programs)
