Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope that everyone’s year is off to a great start! This week we have two important events happening at the high school that I would like everyone to remember.
Tomorrow, September 17th is our annual school picture day. This year, students will be getting their photograph taken during social studies classes. Each teacher has a scheduled time slot with plenty of time for each child in the class to get their photo taken. If you have any questions, please call the main office and ask for Mrs. Orefice or Mrs. Gennett.
We also have our PVHS Back to School Night this week on Thursday, September 19th beginning at 6:00 pm in the PVHS PAC with a greeting from Dr. Intrieri and Mr. Mello. Classes will begin with a bell promptly at 6:15 pm. We will be running a Day 1 (A) schedule for parents to follow. Please log on to PowerSchool to print your child’s schedule. If needed, a printed copy of your child’s schedule will also be available for parents upon your arrival to the high school. Back to School Night is the perfect opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and hear about what he/she is learning in class this year. The evening will give parents a snapshot of your child’s daily life and experiences that can lead to meaningful conversations with your child throughout the year. The PTSA, Putnam County Cove Care, as well as other Putnam County organizations, will have tables in the main foyer for parents to visit during the Academic Study time or the Community Lunch.
Several of our teams have home games this week including volleyball, girls soccer and football. Please check out the Putnam Valley Central School District app for a complete listing of games and times and come out to cheer on the Tigers!
