Dear Putnam Valley Families,
We are roaring back to school! We hope you had a wonderful summer, enjoyed family and friends, and have some incredible adventures and memories to share.
We are having a staggered start for the first day of school.
Freshmen and Freshmen only, will be in school on Tuesday, September 5th.
All grades will start our normal class schedule Wednesday, September 6th.
Tuesday, Sept. 5th: Only Grade 9 will have a full school day. (Grades 10, 11, & 12 stay home!)
The 9th grade will go through a series of workshops on the first day to help acquaint them with expectations, their classes, and the high school building.
The first full day of classes for everyone is Wednesday, Sept. 6th!
For the first time in six years, we have no changes to our bell schedule!!!!!
Other important information:
On Friday, August 25th, student schedules will be released by 11:00 am! Please have your child click on and review their full-year schedule. If there are any questions, please contact your child’s Guidance Counselor.
**As a reminder, students can only drop classes by replacing the class with another choice. We want you to take advantage of the many opportunities we offer. The first day to drop a class after school begins is September 22, 2023.
THE STUDENT LAPTOP AGREEMENT FORM AND SIGN-OFF ARE LOCATED ON THE HIGH SCHOOL WEBPAGE AND MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOUR CHILD RETURNS TO SCHOOL!
We are trying to expedite the laptop distribution process and need your help. Please read the Student Handbook and Code of Conduct carefully and complete the Computer Use forms.

All students will receive a locker this year. Students may log in to PowerSchool to see their locker number and combination.

Please contact the District Office if you do not want your child’s picture released to the media.

Picture Day is Monday, October 2, 2023 – Everyone should take a picture and if you want to purchase a copy, please fill out the picture form you will receive from Legacy Studios.

Back-to-School Night: October 5th, 6:00 pm.
We want to welcome our new staff to the high school and are excited about their
positive energy, dedication, and professionalism. They are going to bring new, dynamic perspectives to our building.
