Dear parents and guardians,

Can you believe we are at the midpoint of the first quarter already? Staff and students have been very excited about the beginning of the school year, and the positive start is evident in the halls and classes at PVHS.

We believe the parent/teacher relationship is integral to the student’s development, and periodic check-ins will help facilitate meaningful conversations and collaborations that benefit everyone. Teachers have updated grades and added comments for students in Powerschool.  Please look at Powerschool to check your child’s progress, and feel free to reach out to our teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

Spirit Week is here!  Our Student Government has been working hard to plan the different dress-up days and the culminating grade vs. grade Color Wars competition.  This will be the first time in three years that we will be able to have all the grades meet in the gym at the end of the day on Friday to go head-to-head in some fun and unique events.  The pandemic has brought us some positive changes as well. Our TV Production class will provide a live stream of the events that occur at the end of each period and all of the events in the gym at the end of the day.

Here is a link to the PVHS webpage where you can find answers to most of your high school questions:  https://pvcsd.org/index.php/hs/.

Go Tigers!

Sincerely,

Mr. Matt Mello
