Dear Parents,

We conducted one of our state-mandated lockdown drills today.  We continue to try and mirror the process we would encounter in a real lockdown situation.  This particular drill involved the lockdown being called at the middle school and then relayed to the high school.  Deputy Meury led a joint force of Putnam County, Carmel Police, and State Troopers.  Law enforcement checked to ensure all doors were locked and classes were quiet and safe before giving an all-clear.  Our partnership with local law enforcement enables different police groups to become familiar with our building and provide us with important feedback about what they observed.  We want to thank all departments involved for their assistance in the drill.  The lockdown ran smoothly and lasted approximately 15 minutes.

Sincerely,

Matt Mello
