Our Vision: "The Child First and Foremost: Building a Foundation for the Future"
Dear Putnam Valley families,
Both the middle school and high school will have a state-mandated lockdown drill on Wednesday, January 14th. Prior to the drill, we will announce that we will begin our lockdown drill shortly. We will test out our automated lockdown system. Students and staff will hear an automated voice loudly announcing “Lockdown. Lockdown, Lockdown” repetitively for a minute. The automated lockdown will be heard at the middle school and high school. Both schools will enter the lockdown protocol. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department will conduct the drill with other local law enforcement agencies simultaneously in both buildings.
Sincerely,
Matt Mello
Principal
Putnam Valley HS
