Wednesday 6/17: Blue & White (extra) Day

Congratulations to our Kindergarten classes on the wonderful show that was performed for families on Friday. These students did such a wonderful job memorizing and singing so many songs! Thank you to our Kindergarten teachers and to Mr. Durland for their leadership. The audience was filled with smiles!
Our third grade classes presented their wonderful Haiku poems to their families this week, and then took part in some collaborative writing with family members. Thank you to our third grade families for your participation!
All school library books are now due. Please make sure that your children’s school library books are in their backpacks and ready to be returned. All students should check the Lost & Found collection in our main lobby this week as well.
Schools will be closed this Friday, June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth. Our school Field Day is scheduled for this Thursday, June 18th. We will let you know if a rain date must be scheduled.
Thank you to Mrs. Bruno and Mrs. Broas for running our grade-level Sustainability lessons. Our students are learning so much about the Earth and how we can take care of it. Please continue to send in donations of plastic for the Earth Helpers’ Club.
This past week, our Elementary School welcomed our graduating PVHS Seniors for the annual Cap & Gown Walk. This is always such a special event, and we are so very proud of our PVCSD graduates! Best wishes and congratulations to the Class of 2026!
Today is officially Flag Day, and our Elementary Flag Day Celebration was beautiful and meaningful. Our flagpole circle was filled with students and staff wearing red, white, and blue, and Mr. Durland led us in singing patriotic songs. We are so proud.
The week ahead is filled with special grade level events, field trips, outdoor workshops, and Spirit Week festivities. It will be a quick four days, as we head toward our last week of the school year. Thank you for your support in all that we do. We couldn’t do it without your partnership!
Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
