Dear PVMS Families,
We have made it to the final month of our 2025-2026 school year. The month of May saw some fluctuation in temperatures and certainly gave us warm days that helped remind us of what summer may look like. Let’s hope the warmer trend continues as we appreciate being able to take our students outside for recess and occasional walks on the wellness trail. With that being said, many of our students do have summer break on their minds and with extended daylight many have extended opportunities to be outside. Although we will be on summer vacation starting on June 27th, we are still engaged in vital learning opportunities and assessments through our last day of school on June 26th. Take some time to speak with your children about completing their HW assignments and studying for assessments throughout this month as it is vital to finish the year strong.
Thank you for partnering with us over the course of this school year. The middle years can be an ever changing time for our students. I applaud you and your children for continuing to be engaged, thoughtful, and resilient, through their journey of middle school. It takes a village to raise a child and your support is more important now than ever before especially with all of the outside influences that impact our students.
*Our Eighth Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be taking place on Wednesday, June 24th at 5:00PM in the High School Performing Arts Center. This will be followed by a Moving Up Dance at Cortlandt Colonial from 7:00 – 9:30PM.
