This is such an incredibly busy time at PVES. I hope that you are all taking the time to rest and enjoy your loved ones this weekend. It is good to re-energize!
A Connect-Ed email message has been sent out to all PVES families regarding Field Day t-shirts and Fourth Grade t-shirts. Please read it carefully. As you know, our school Field Day will take place on Friday, June 2nd. Spirit Week will be held from Monday, June 12th through Friday, June 16th. Our Spirit Week theme days will be:
Monday, June 12th: Crazy Hat & Hair Day
Tuesday, June 13th: Crazy Socks or Neon Color Day
Wednesday, June 14th: Flag Day – Red, White, and Blue
Thursday, June 15th: Let’s wear those Field Day t-shirts/colors AGAIN!
Friday, June 16th: “Extra” PV Pride Day: Blue & White
Thank you to all the families who were able to attend our Family Math Game Night this past week! We had such a great turn-out for this wonderful math event, and we thank the many parents who were so motivated to participate in our math fun. Thank you also to Mrs. Picco, Mrs. Burdett, and Miss Thompson for helping to facilitate this special Math Game Night!
Over the past few weeks, we have had many first and second grade students take part in a wonderful after-school Springtime Reading Academy. Our young readers were able to get an extra boost of reading instruction during these weeks. We thank our district for making this learning opportunity possible, and we thank the following teachers for their participation: Mrs. Burdett, Ms. deMey, Mrs. Gannon, Mr. Hogan, Mrs. McCarty, and Miss Shalhoub. Our young readers continue to thrive!
This past Monday, all our classes were treated to a visit and story time with a special guest reader during our very successful Community Read. Thank you to the many community members, authors, teachers, and administrators who took the time to read to our PVES students. We know how busy you are, but the fact that you spent some of your morning with the children sharing the love of reading means so very much. We can’t wait to see you again next year!
Please be reminded that schools will be closed in honor of Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th. Schools will be in session this Friday, May 26th.
Our PTA and PVEF are looking for volunteers! Thank you for reaching out to see how you can help. Thank you for supporting our schools to benefit all of our students!
