Putnam Valley Elementary School

Dear PVES Families,

I hope that you all had a wonderful week!  We are all looking forward to some warmer temperatures this weekend, and into next week when we can finally get outside for recess.  The fresh air and exercise are so important to whole brain learning.  Enjoy the nice days ahead!

We are all looking forward to the Science/Maker Fair on this Wednesday, March 13th.  Our fourth-grade scientists will bring their projects and displays to school when they arrive on Wednesday.  Grade levels will visit the Fair during the day, and all families are welcome to visit from 6:30 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday evening.  We thank the PVHS Science Honor Society students who have been working with some of our fourth-graders after school on Thursdays.  As always, this has been a wonderful experience for all, and I thank Mr. Jason Horr for helping to organize this collaboration.

The PVES Musical, “The Wizard of Oz,” will be performed on Friday and Saturday, March 22nd and 23rd, at 7:00 PM in our Auditorium.  This is always such an enjoyable event, and we are so proud of our students for the time and energy they have devoted to this production.  Please get your tickets!

Please be reminded that there will be no school for students on Friday, March 15th, because of a Superintendent’s Conference Day.  Our faculty will be meeting in conferences and workshops throughout that day.  Children’s Center will be open for registered students.

Enjoy the weekend ahead!  Remember to keep reading together and enjoying those special moments.  A childhood goes so fast!

Warmly,
Ms. Podesta
Principal
