Dear PVES Families,
It has been a short week at PVES, but even with the interrupted schedule, our wonderful students are active and learning every day in school. On this Friday, we celebrate the 100th Day of the School Year! Our youngest students are busy with festive and engaging learning activities in their classrooms, and we all look forward to our continued growth and learning in the months ahead. The spring is sure to bring lots of excitement!
Our Kindergarten registration dates are quickly approaching in March. If you know of Putnam Valley residents with children who will be 5 years old by December 1st, please have them call our main office at 845-528-8092 for a registration appointment. Kindergarten Screening will then take place from May 20th through May 22nd, with specific appointments being made for these days. We always look forward to welcoming our youngest learners.
As the winter sports and other seasonal activities begin to wind down, your weekend family time might allow for a trip to our local library or nearby museums, nature walks, and other wonderful learning opportunities. These family events can lead to writing or art work that follows, and family discussions filled with rich vocabulary and nice memories in the making. Our schedules get so busy each week, so it’s always nice when we can just add to our children’s experiences in simple but adventurous ways. Your children will never forget these moments.
Please check the PTA website (www.putnamvalleypta.org) for important news and events. I hope you can enjoy the Pocketbook Bingo this Saturday night! This is a very enjoyable event with great prizes!
Enjoy the weekend ahead. Your students are doing lots of learning at this very important time of the year, and March looks to be a busy and productive month!
Warmly,
Ms. Podesta
Principal
