Dear PVES Families,
Happy Holidays! I hope that the upcoming days are filled with health, warmth, and love in your homes! The children have been certainly getting into the holiday spirit here at school this week! Our school-wide Pajama Day was a huge success, and today, the Festive Wear and big smiles filled the school. Thank you to all of our students and staff who made the 7th Annual School-wide Sing Along such a great event today! Our school is such a special place, all because of the people inside it!
Thank you so much for your donations to our Holiday Collection for the Women’s Shelter of Peekskill! We are such a giving community, and we thank you for your generosity and kindness. Thank you also to our Character Education and Diversity Committee for making these collections possible and for leading the way with these initiatives!
Our schools will be closed beginning on Monday, December 23rd through Wednesday, January 1st. Schools will reopen on Thursday, January 2nd. Please read with your children daily, and enjoy the small moments together. That’s what they will remember the most.
Winter officially begins tomorrow, and the cold temperatures are proving that, although a little warm-up seems to be coming. Have a safe and happy holiday break! I look forward to working with you as we enter the next decade together. I am fortunate to do so!
Wishing you all the best as we welcome in 2020!
Fondly,
Ms. Podesta
