Putnam Valley Elementary School

Dear PVES Families,

I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season!  The children are so excited at this time of year, and they certainly help to spread the joy and magic of the season. We look forward to our Festive Wear Day on this Friday, December 23rd. Staff and students are welcome to wear their holiday colors, hats, bells, and more. Thank you for keeping up with our special learning community festivities. Pajama Day was a cute, cozy success!

Schools will be closed from Monday, December 26th, through Monday, January 2nd. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd, after the holiday break.

Our Building Steering Committee met this week, and we worked on brainstorming ideas for Parent Nights and Workshops. I thank all our parent volunteers and our teachers for their time and input!  If you have suggestions for parent information events, please email me. We love to hear your ideas!

Please be sure to check our Lost & Found Collection in our main lobby for any missing items. Students can find a time to check these tables during the school day as well.

Thank you so very much for your generous donations to our holiday food and toy drives. We are able to help others in need, and we thank you for making this time of year a little brighter for others!

Have a great week ahead! We look forward to a productive and festive five days of school!

Sincerely,

Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
