Putnam Valley Elementary School

Dear PVES Families,

We enjoyed a wonderful whole-school Pajama Day on Friday, with comfy clothes and lots of smiles to bring in the season of winter! Winter officially begins on Thursday, December 21st, the shortest day of the year! Stay warm and healthy as we bring in the colder days.

This Friday, December 22nd, all staff and students are welcome to wear Festive Wear to school. I know we will see lots of holiday colors, jingle bells, Santa hats, and more at our whole-school Sing Along that afternoon. We always look forward to this tradition at PVES, and we thank you all for your support.

We do have five days of learning ahead before the holiday break. Thank you for having your children attend school on time, prepared with homework, and ready for important classroom activities. Schools will be closed from Monday, December 25th, through Monday, January 1st  for the holiday break.  Schools will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.

Sign-ups for our wonderful Kids of Character Club are taking place now! Our third and fourth-graders are welcome to fill out the application for this club, which is run by our third-grade teacher, Ms. Castellanos. Please see the Weekly Notices for more information.

Thank you for your generous contributions to our Holiday Coat Drive and to our PTA Toy Collection. Our children grow so much by being part of helping others in need. Thank you for your kindness.

Enjoy this last full week of school in the year of 2023. We are so proud of our students, and we thank you for partnering with us always.
