Dear PVES Families,
Welcome back! I hope that you all enjoyed a wonderful spring break with your families, and that you are ready for a busy and productive final quarter of the school year. Third Quarter Progress Reports will be mailed home to you next week. As always, if you have any questions about your child’s academic progress, be sure to reach out to the teacher(s). This is a very important time at the home stretch of the school year, and we look forward to working closely with you.
Tomorrow is Earth Day, and all students and staff are invited to wear the color green! Teachers have many books and literacy & science activities that will support the important concepts associated with this day, and the necessity to take care of our earth. We would like to invite you all to participate in our PVES Planting Day, which will be held after school on Tuesday, May 20th, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Please see the attached flyer for this wonderful event!
We hope to see many of you on this Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:00 PM for a Budget and Capital Project Q & A to be held in our Elementary Auditorium. Everyone is welcome, as it is so good to ask questions and be informed. Please bring your neighbors and friends. Thank you so much for attending, and please be sure to Vote on Tuesday, May 20th in the PVES Cafeteria.
Congratulations to our third-grade students and to our music teacher, Mr. Durland, on the outstanding Recorder Concert that was performed before spring break. The students did such an amazing job, and the concert was filled with great songs and surprises. Our third-grade families were such a wonderful evening audience, and we always look forward to the next show!
This week, we give special thanks to our School Bus Drivers and our Administrative Professionals. Thank you to all of these people who work to keep our children safe, happy, and organized on our busy school days. A special thank you to Mrs. Sillery, Mrs. Tavares, and to Mrs. DeRubeis for putting so much care into their work in our main office. We appreciate them so much!
Have a great 4-day week ahead. The calendar will stay extremely busy for the next ten weeks of school, and with our combined teamwork, the children will continue to thrive. Thank you for your partnership and positive feedback. Let’s get this final quarter started!
Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
