Dear PVES Families,
We will welcome the season of fall during this 4-day week, and the weather is certainly beginning to change. The students will continue to go outside for recess throughout the school year, so please be sure they are dressed appropriately for the temperature. (We do not go outside if it is raining or if the outdoor temperature is extremely hot or cold).
Our PVES/PTA Picnic will be rescheduled. We look forward to welcoming all our families to the new playground!
This week, Mrs. Robey and I will be presenting our PVES “Opening of Schools Report” to the Board of Education on Thursday at 7 PM at the High School. We welcome you to watch this presentation online. We are so proud of all the great work taking place at PVES!
Our School Picture Day will be held on Monday, September 28th. Our Picture Make-up Day will be held on Tuesday, December 1st. (Opportunities for missed photos, re-takes, and sibling photos will be available on December 1st). Thank you so much to our PTA for organizing these days and for all of the volunteer help.
Now that we are beginning our fourth week of school, we thank you for supporting your child’s strong attendance, punctuality, and good homework and reading habits each day. Our students are off to a great start, and learning and growth is already taking place. Our parent/teacher conferences will take place after the first quarter of the school year, in November. (Opportunities of signing up for these in-person conferences will be sent your way next month). As always, if you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher at first initial, last name@pvcsd.org. We value your positive and clear communication.
As we look ahead to October, please be reminded that our students will be dismissing 15 minutes early on Friday, October 9th, due to a mandated early dismissal drill. Please be at your bus stop 15 minutes early on that day. There will be no school on Monday, October 12th, in honor of Columbus Day.
