Putnam Valley Elementary School

Dear PVES Families,

As we finish up the month of October, we look forward to a busy and festive week ahead. On Wednesday, we will welcome many community First Responders to our classrooms. Our visitors will visit classes, talk about the important work that they do, share stories, and answer student questions. We thank our First Responders for visiting PVES this week and for teaching the students about how they help others. This will be a very special day at our school.

On Friday, our students are welcome to bring their Halloween costumes to school for a short student-centered parade. We will take photos and videos of the parade to share with parents. Please note that the children will not be allowed to wear scary masks or carry any costume props that resemble weapons. Thank you for your support. Happy Halloween!

Today is a wonderful day to enjoy the PVEF Trunk or Treat that is taking place in the Putnam Valley Middle School parking lot at 2:00 this afternoon. Enjoy the sunshine and the Halloween fun!

As our parent/teacher conference times approach, we want to invite you to set up meeting times with your child’s classroom teachers, along with the special area teachers and support staff who work with your children. Be sure to check the Weekly Notices for club information and upcoming events. Thank you for your ongoing support. Enjoy the busy week ahead. We will all get an extra hour of sleep next weekend when we turn the clocks back one hour!

Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
