Dear PVES Families!
And Autumn begins! Our school year and this season are off to a wonderful start, and I hope that your children are adjusting easily to the busy fall schedule and their new classrooms. We look forward to an amazing year ahead!
Tomorrow is School Picture Day, and we are looking forward to seeing all the smiles! All classes will be following a schedule for both individual and class photos. School picture re-takes are scheduled for later in the fall. Thank you to our PTA volunteers who will help to make this day so successful.
Our classes are now visiting the school library once every two weeks for Library Book Exchange. Thank you to our new library clerk, Mrs. Medina, who is managing this wonderful space and welcoming our students. Please help your children to properly care for their library books and return them to school on time. Happy reading!
Please be reminded that the PVEF Color Run is being held on Sunday, October 1st, at 2:00 at the Putnam Valley Town Park. This is always a wonderful time. Thank you for supporting the PVEF. Please join this wonderful team!
Schools will be dismissed 15 minutes early on Friday, October 6th, as part of a NYS Emergency Dismissal Drill. Please mark your calendars to be at your child’s bus stop 15 minutes early on that Friday afternoon. Schools will then be closed on Monday, October 9th, in honor of Columbus Day.
I look forward to presenting our Opening of Schools Report to the Board of Education on this Thursday, September 28th, at the 7:00 PM BOE Meeting with Mrs. Robey. Please attend or visit the livestream if you can. We have so much to share!
Thank you for your partnership in helping to ensure a strong and successful beginning to the school year for your children. As we wrap up the month of September, we have set a strong and joyful foundation for an amazing school year. Let’s keep it going!
Enjoy the week ahead! Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
