Dear Putnam Valley High School Parents and Guardians,

We’re in the home stretch of the school year, and what a busy time it’s been! We just wrapped up our IB/AP May assessment cycle. Over 100 seniors sat for 11 two-day IB exams, with most taking three or more. We hope they’re enjoying a much-needed break this weekend!

Student Recognition

We want to extend a huge congratulations to Tyler Lock, our Student of Distinction from Putnam Valley! Tyler is graduating from the Law Enforcement program at PNW BOCES and is excited about pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a police officer. We’re incredibly proud of his dedication and success.

NYS Cellphone Policy Review & Feedback

As many of you know NY State has amended the education law to eliminate student cellphone use for the entirety of the school day – NYS Cellphone Law.  Our district needs to develop a policy that will be submitted to the state by August 1st, 2025.  We have created a Google Meet on Wednesday, June 11th at 5:30 PM and are inviting any of our parents to join in, ask questions, and provide feedback that will enable us to develop a clear and concise cellphone use policy.
