Dear Putnam Valley High School Families,
As per Dr. Luft’s earlier message to the community, we are heartbroken to learn of the news regarding the passing of one of our students. Our hearts go out to the family and all those impacted by this tragedy. We are incredibly thankful to our district clinicians for supporting our students and staff at the high school during this very difficult time. As a result of this sudden and terrible situation, we have decided to postpone the HS Chorus Concert and the Softball Sectional Game.
Please know we are prepared to support our students as they process this news. Our counselors and clinicians, as well as the Regional Crisis Team, will be on hand tomorrow at the high school to support any students and staff who need to speak with someone or a space to process their feelings.
If you or your children need any additional support, please feel free to reach out to our counselors and clinicians. Additionally, we are providing some resources for you to use at home.
