Dear Families of our 11th and 12th graders,

Today, Jacy Good, a nationwide advocate dedicated to stopping the global epidemic of distracted driving, spoke to our students. Jacy Good tragically lost her parents and almost her own life in a terrible car accident that was caused by a distracted teen driver. Her story can be found at http://hangupanddrive.com/.

Please ask your high school student what he or she thought of the presentation. This is a great way to start a very important conversation.

SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is very proud to bring this presentation to their classmates in order to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving, especially those who text while driving.

Please see the pictures below. While being encouraged by SADD members PVHS students are signing the “Hang Up and Drive” anti-distracted driving pledge. Pictured with SADD Members are Jacy Good and her husband, Steve Johnson.

Sincerely,

PVHS SADD
and
Lisa Penta, SADD Advisor
