Dear PVES Families,

And spring has sprung! I hope that you have all enjoyed this warm weekend, and that you are feeling rested and energized as we head into the beautiful spring season. Our students and staff certainly had a festive week celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! Thank you to our wonderful PTA for providing our teachers with some wonderful classroom supplies from a lucky leprechaun. That was truly appreciated!

Our PVES students also took part in a beautiful and emotional parade in the front of our school as we participated in the big “Send-off to States” of our PVHS Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team! This parade was complete with fire trucks, police cars, and of course a big busload of amazing student-athletes. This PV community comes together like no other, and the elementary school was honored to be part of the celebration! Thank you to this incredible team and the coaches for providing such an example for our young students. We are so very proud!

Congratulations to our incredible fourth grade scientists who participated in the Fourth Grade Science/Maker Fair this past week! The children were so well prepared with their science investigations and presentations, and the Auditorium was filled with parents and family members who came to support these amazing students. Thank you to Mrs. Bruno and to Mrs. Broas for making this event possible, and thank you to Mr. Horr and Mr. Ninan from PVHS who helped to coordinate the support of High School Science Honor Students with this event. This was a true team effort, and it provided great learning and scientific thinking opportunities for all! Great job, fourth graders!

We look forward to our PVES/PTA Musical this week! Everyone attending Friday evening’s musical must have a ticket to enter. Our 3rd and 4th Grade Gym Show practices will begin this Tuesday. If you have questions about your child’s practice day, please reach out to Mrs. Aurigemma or Mr. Heitman.

We are now at the midpoint of the 3rd Quarter of the school year. Third Quarter Progress Reports will be distributed on Friday, April 8th. As always, if you would like to meet in person with your child’s teacher(s), just send an email, or call our school office at 845-528-8092. Please do not hesitate to set up a meeting.

Spring break will take place from Monday, April 11th through Friday, April 15th. Schools will reopen on Monday, April 18th.

Thank you for your ongoing enthusiasm and support in all that we do. Our PVES students are in great hands, and they continue to shine!

Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
