Dear PVES Families,
I hope that you have all enjoyed the three-day weekend with your children, and that everyone is ready for a great, spring-like week ahead! Our faculty and staff were hard at work on our Superintendent’s Conference Day on Friday, attending professional learning meetings and working collaboratively on many components of curriculum. Our PVES students are in very good hands!
We are looking forward to the Fourth Grade Science/Maker Fair on Wednesday night, March 16th. Fourth grade families may visit the Science/Maker Fair in our PVES Auditorium from 7:00 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday. Our young scientists are eager to present their experiments and studies to all attendees!
Our Gym Show practices for the Third & Fourth Grade P.E. Olympics will begin next week, March 22nd. All third and fourth grade students who are interested in participating and who can attend the early-morning practices should hand in their Permission Forms by tomorrow, March 14th. This Gym Show will be held in our big gym on Tuesday, May 10th from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
The PTA/PVES 3rd/4th grade Musical is being performed on Friday, March 25th. All attendees must have a ticket to enter the Auditorium. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Phillips or Mrs. Calhoun.
The PTA Penny Jar Collection continues this week! If students would like to drop some pennies into their class collection container, this is the week to do it! We are happy to support our PVES PTA, as they do so much for our school!
All students and staff are invited to wear the color green on this Thursday, March 17th, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. It is sure to be a lucky week ahead!
Beginning tomorrow, all of our classes will be moving back into the Cafeteria for grade level lunch times together. We are so very proud of how our building was able to manage class lunch times according to required social distancing guidelines, and we will continue to monitor health and safety as we return to more normal routines and protocols. Our students continue to amaze us, and we are so very proud of how they have handled the many pandemic safety requirements. They truly are incredible!
Have a great start to the week, and try to get that extra hour of sleep back tonight! We will all be enjoying the later afternoon sunshine!
Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
