Dear PVES Families,

I hope that you are enjoying these bright and sunny days, complete with amazing fall foliage in our beautiful area. Our students are working hard as they move through the first quarter of the school year. We look forward to seeing you all in person at our November Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please be sure to sign up for appointments with all of the teachers with whom you would like to meet.

This Wednesday, October 21st, we will join in the recognition of Unity Day. All staff and students are invited to wear the color orange, representing kindness and respect for all. This goes along with our Anti-Bullying Character Education theme for October. Thank you for following up with these important themes at home.

Thank you so much to the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department for providing all of our grade levels with Fire Safety Lessons this past week. Our students were able to see firefighters in full uniform, tour fire trucks, and ask many questions about fire prevention. Thank you to the PVVFD for their time and for the children’s fire hats and coloring books. We truly appreciate your time and the very important work that you do.

November will be a very busy month on our school calendar, and you will want to mark these important dates:

November 3rd: No School for Students (Superintendent’s Conference Day)

November 10th: Half-Day (12:00) Dismissal for Elementary Students (Conferences)

Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
