Dear PVES Families,

Congratulations to our wonderful Kindergarten students on their amazing musical performance today!  These children made us all smile and feel so proud, and we thank the many parents and family members who were able to attend the show!  Thank you also to our entire Kindergarten staff and to our music teacher, Mrs. Calhoun, for all of your work with the students.  They were so prepared, and they were just adorable on stage!  The concert was recorded and can be viewed on our district You Tube channel.  It can be seen at this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyw4xdaqR5A Congratulations to the graduating class of 2031!

PLEASE remember to VOTE on the Facilities Project on Tuesday, December 4th.  The vote will take place in the PVES Cafeteria from 6 AM to 9 PM.  The PVES students will still be able to purchase lunch in the school cafeteria that day, but they will be eating in their classrooms.  Thank you for your community involvement!

I hope that you all enjoyed a peaceful Thanksgiving break.  Here we are, at the end of November already, with a very festive month ahead.  Even with our busy schedules, we ask that you continue to maintain regular homework and reading routines at night, and please be sure to stick to the bedtime schedules that work best for your child.  At this point in the school year, the students are very familiar with their homework responsibilities, which help to teach organization, accountability, and provide important review of content instruction.  We thank you for your support, and we look forward to the months of growth ahead.

The PTA Holiday Reads will take place on Saturday, December 8th, from 11 AM to 2 PM in the PVES Cafeteria.  Please bring your child to this special event, and enjoy some snacks, crafts, and stories together.  Thank you to the PTA for organizing this!

As we look ahead, schools will be closed for the holiday break from Monday, December 24th, through Tuesday, January 1st.  Schools will re-open on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Enjoy the weekend ahead.  Please contact me at mpodesta@pvcsd.org with any questions.

Warmly,

Ms. Podesta

Principal
