Dear PVES Families,

I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.  At this busy time of year, it is so important to take a moment to realize how fortunate we all are, and to spend quality time with friends and family.  Your children will remember these special moments, and they bring such excitement to the holidays.  We try to keep the schedule as consistent as we can for them at school, so that the growing and learning continues on a healthy and steady pace.

The Thanksgiving Food Drive was a huge success!  Thank you for your contributions! They will be so appreciated.

Thank you to our PTA for bringing the Fall Scholastic Book Fair to our school.  We appreciate the volunteers who made this happen, we thank you for allowing your children to browse and shop for books. We have lots of avid readers here at PV!

Congratulations to our third and fourth graders who performed in the PVES Olympics last week.  It was a wonderful gym show, and the students made us so proud.  Thank you to Mrs. Aurigemma and Mr. Heitman for their work with the students, and thank you to all of the parents who were able to attend the evening performance.

Please remember that the District Facilities Project vote will take place on December 4th at PVES.  I hope that you all come out to vote.  For more information, you can view the Facilities Project Video on the district homepage:  www.pvcsd.org.  If you have any questions, please contact us.

This week, our elementary school practiced a required Lockdown Drill, and the students did a wonderful job!   When we practice these mandatory drills, we make sure that the students feel safe and confident.  We are so proud of our students, and I thank all of the staff for their professionalism and care for the students.

The PTA will be hosting the Holiday Reads Event on Saturday, December 8th, in the PVES cafeteria.  Please be sure to stop by for treats, a story, and a craft at this cozy event.  We are so fortunate to have such an active and organized PTA.

Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday!  Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday of this week.  We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, November 26th.

I am very thankful for all of you.

Warmly,

Ms. Podesta
