Dear PVES Families,

As the holiday season approaches, we welcome you to take part in our PVES Holiday Food Drive! Students are welcome to bring in non-perishable food items and drop them in our donation boxes in the main lobby of our school, now through Monday, November 25th. All food donations will be brought to a local food pantry to help those in need. Thank you so much for your contributions!

If you were not able to schedule or attend your Parent/Teacher conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher(s) to set up a meeting or a phone call. It is very important that we communicate at this time of year in order to work collaboratively on academic and social/behavioral goals for you child. Thank you to our teachers who prepared so well for these conferences and Fall Progress Reports.

Congratulations to our third and fourth-grade student-athletes who performed in the Gym Show this past week. Mrs. Aurigemma and Mr. Heitman did such a great job with these students, and the children were truly prepared. It was another great PVES event!

Our PTA/PVES Book Fair takes place this week! You are welcome to visit the Book Fair in the Auditorium when your child’s class is scheduled to visit. Thank you to our PTA volunteers for making this event possible. Happy reading!

Our Picture Retake Day will be held on Thursday morning, November 21st. This is for students who would like a retake or who missed our original Picture Day. Please reach out to the PTA if you have any questions.

All elementary students (only) will have a half-day of school on Tuesday, November 26th, with a 12:00 dismissal. Schools will be closed for Thanksgiving break from Wednesday, November 27th, through Friday, November 29th. Schools will reopen on Monday, December 2nd. How did December get here so quickly?

Enjoy this very special time of year. Please do your best to keep your children’s schedules consistent and steady, supporting early bedtimes and regular attendance at school. It makes such a difference!

Thank you for your partnership!

Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
