Dear PVES Families,

Happy last week of the school year, and it is a short week at that! I am so very proud of our students and staff. We have had an incredible year of learning, growth, amazing events, and the celebration of wonderful traditions (new and old) in our learning community. Thank you for helping to make PVES all that it is. We could not do it without you!

We will have half-days of school for our elementary students on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, with 12:00 dismissals. No lunch will be served on those days, but students are welcome to bring a snack. Tomorrow is a full day of school for our K-3 students, and we know that many of our fourth graders will be signed out to leave after our 10:00 AM Moving Up Ceremony. Everyone attending the Moving Up Ceremony must have a ticket, including all children over the age of 1. We are looking forward to celebrating our fourth-grade class as they prepare to move to the middle school. They have achieved so much!

Please be sure to check our Lost & Found Collection in the main lobby. After this week, items will again be donated to charity. Thank you for having your children check the tables in the front of the school.

Thank you to our incredible teachers who have worked so hard with your children throughout the year. Over the past few weeks, our school has been extremely busy with field trips, family classroom activities, writing celebrations, and continued teaching and assessing. Report Cards will be available online by the end of this week, and hard copies will be mailed to your homes. As you know, our entire staff is so extremely dedicated to the learning, safety, growth, and wellness of our students. I celebrate them and all that they do each day.

Our final lockdown drill and scheduled fire drills are complete for the year. Our updated District Safety Plan will be available to view on our district website. As always, if you have any questions regarding our required drills and safety protocols, please feel free to reach out.

Our Summer Boost Program will be running from August 12th through August 14th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for all current K-4 students. Please see the email that was sent for sign up information for this free program.

Thank you to our PTA for all their help and the amazing events hosted this year. Our third-grade classes are the winners of the recent Coin Wars, and they will be treated to an ice cream treat tomorrow afternoon. Great job!

Enjoy the final days of the school year. Thank you again for being our constant partners in education. We make a great team!

Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
