Dear PVES Families,

This is just a quick reminder to please fill out the District Survey that was emailed again this past weekend regarding the choice you are making about your child’s learning this year.  Even though the elementary school is offering 100% in-school learning, parents still have the choice to have their children learn remotely this fall. This would not be the same as traditional “homeschooling,” as the district will provide teacher contact, learning materials, assignments, check-ins, and possibly recorded or live lessons at times (still being determined).  We know this decision is difficult for parents, especially without all of the details yet finalized, but I want you to know that there is no right or wrong choice.  You must do what is best for your child and your family.

If students begin the year learning remotely, they can switch to in-school learning later in the year, and vice versa, but we just need the initial plans in order to get the year started.  At this point, we are planning our rosters and schedules for the first half of the school year.  Your survey responses are extremely important to us at this time.

Thank you for your patience as we plan for this unique school year during this most challenging time.  I will be in touch with more information as soon as I have it.

Warmly,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
