Dear PVES Families,

We look forward to a wonderful week ahead before our holiday break! All staff and students are invited to join in our “Festive Wear Day” on this Friday! Students can wear holiday colors, Santa hats, jingle bells, and snowflake sweaters to help bring in the holiday season for all. This will set us up for our annual school PVES Sing Along that day! Looking forward to the fun!

Schools will be closed for the holiday break from Monday, December 23rd through Wednesday, January 1st. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Thursday, January 2nd for the start of our 2025 learning days! We hope you all have a happy and healthy holiday season!

Thank you for your wonderful donations to our PVES Toy Drive! There are still a couple of days left to donate to our growing collection. These new, unwrapped toys will be combined with the collection from the PVHS National Honor Society, to be donated to children of Putnam County through the Putnam County Department of Social Services. We are so fortunate to be able to help those in need. Thank you for your generosity!

We hope that your children were excited to bring home several gently used books from our Book Give-Away on Pajama Day. It was a cozy day of book browsing and reading, and we were thrilled to see our PVES students so excited to have even more books to read at home. Thank you for encouraging the love of reading each and every day with your children. It makes such a difference!

K-2 parents and guardians, please mark your calendars for our ELA Night, which will be held on Thursday, January 30th, at 6:30 PM. This will be an engaging and informative night that will focus on the critical components of our rich English Language Arts program at PVES. We hope you can join us!

Please be reminded that our district Holiday Potluck Dinner will be taking place at the Middle School tomorrow evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the PVMS Cafeteria. Please bring a dish to share and enjoy connecting with other families! All are welcome!

It’s time to check our Lost & Found Collection in our main lobby. We will be donating remaining items at the end of the month.

Be sure to read the Weekly Notices for club opportunities and events that may be of interest to your children. Have a wonderful week ahead, and enjoy this very special time of year!

Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
