Dear PVES Families,
Thank you so much for the many donations for our Holiday Drive! We are still collecting coats and jackets, new or gently used toys, housewares and decor, and new clothing for our Drive through Wednesday. We are getting prepared for our first-ever PVES Holiday Bazaar on this Saturday, December 13th.
On Saturday morning, you are all invited to come “shopping” for the holidays at our PVES Holiday Bazaar from 10 AM to 12 PM. Please tell your PVES friends and neighbors! There will be no cost for any of the donated items. We are hoping to make the holidays happier and a little easier for all. Thank you for spreading the word!
The weather is certainly getting colder. Please make sure your children are prepared for outdoor recess on all days, including long pants, warm jackets, hats and mittens. Please note that we do not have the children go outside for recess if the weather is extremely cold, wet, or icy. Our classroom teachers and monitors have play activities available for our students on indoor recess days.
All staff and students are welcome to wear pajamas to school on Friday, December 19th. We will welcome the new season of winter in a cozy way. (No slippers please). All staff and students are welcome to dress for Festive Wear Day on Tuesday, December 23rd. Students may wear holiday colors, jingle bells, Santa hats, etc. We are looking forward to the fun!
Schools will be closed for the holiday break from Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, January 2nd. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, January 5th.
Enjoy this busy and festive time of year. Thank you for having your children rested and prepared for learning each day. This is a time of great academic growth!
Stay warm in the week ahead.
Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Podesta
Principal
