Dear PVES,

I hope that this finds you and your families healthy and doing well!  We have had another very productive week with distance learning, and we appreciate your questions, feedback, and shared details of what is working well for you.  In the coming weeks, we will make continued special efforts to virtually connect with your children as a school.  We are all on a huge learning curve right now, but I am incredibly proud of our staff, our students, and our PV families!  We will grow from this challenge as we rise to it!

Speaking of learning, I have been doing a lot of that myself!  I am extremely happy to share that yesterday I successfully defended my Doctoral Dissertation in Educational Leadership through Manhattanville College.  Please let your children know that Ms. Podesta has never stopped learning and going to school, and that she is now proudly…Dr. Podesta!  Yesterday was an incredible day for me, personally and professionally, and I am grateful to have had this opportunity to grow as a school leader.  Thank you all for being part of the big PVES picture of where I work and learn.  I just can’t wait to be back there!

Staff members will be meeting this week to review and update the specifics of our learning plans, grading processes, and student and parent communication opportunities.  We are a strong team that puts children first and foremost, and we will be in touch with any modified plans as we move forward.

Thank you all for staying positive, letting us know what you need, and doing all you can to keep your children happy, healthy, calm, and secure.  As you know, you can reach out if you have concerns.  We are here for you.

Enjoy the weekend, and please reach out if you need to.  My email is mpodesta@pvcsd.org.

Thank you for all you are doing!

Warmly,
Dr. Podesta
