Good afternoon,

After discussion during last evening’s Board of Education meeting, consideration of the participation numbers, and review of current COVID case data, the decision was made to phase out remote access over the next week.  The last day students will be able to participate in remote access will be Friday, February 4.

For those students who are under mandatory isolation or quarantine, remote instruction will still be available.  Students/families should communicate directly with their teachers to set up this quarantined instruction.  Proof of isolation or quarantine will be required.  These forms can be found below and downloaded.

Quarantine Affirmation – Individuals identified as a close contact to a positive individual.

Isolation Affirmation – Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Our schools have done a commendable job in preventing the spread of the virus within our classrooms.  Since the onset of the pandemic schools have proven to be one of the safest places for students.  We also know that in-person instruction is most beneficial for student learning.

Homeschooling remains an option for any family who decides to provide instruction to their children in their home.  Students who are medically fragile may qualify for homebound instruction.  Students on homebound instruction would be provided home tutoring services if they qualify.

Please contact your child’s school for more information.

Thank you.
