Winter Athletics Registration – 2025-2026 School Year
The Putnam Valley Schools Athletic Department is now in its second season using FinalForms, our secure online platform for athletic registration. FinalForms allows families to complete, sign, and update all required athletic forms online. The system saves your information from season to season and year to year, reducing the need to re-enter the same data each season.
While previously submitted information is stored, registration is still required for each new season, and all sport-specific forms must be reviewed and signed before a student-athlete may participate.

Registration for the Winter JV/Varsity (9th–12th Grade) athletic season will open Saturday, October 18, 2025, and remain open through Sunday, November 9, 2025. The first day of tryouts and practice is scheduled for Monday, November 17, 2025. Late registrations will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Registration for the Winter Modified (7th–8th Grade) season will open Saturday, November 1, 2025, and remain open through Sunday, November 23, 2025. The first day of tryouts and practice is Monday, December 1, 2025. As with JV/Varsity, late registrations will not be accepted.
While we aim to include all interested student-athletes and reduce barriers to participation, cuts may be made if the number of registrants exceeds the number of students we can safely supervise and equip. If cuts are necessary, students may be offered the opportunity to join another team where space allows. Roster spots are not held for students who miss tryouts due to late registration, family vacations, school trips, or other scheduling conflicts. It is the responsibility of each student-athlete and their family to ensure that registration is completed on time and that all required documentation is submitted prior to tryouts. Tryout periods will not be extended.
The Athletic Placement Process (APP) is managed by the Athletic Department. Middle school families may not request that their student-athlete participate at a higher level than their grade-based offering. If a student is identified for possible advanced play, the Athletic Department will contact the family directly. Additionally, a student who completed the APP for a prior season is not automatically eligible to participate at the high school level in future seasons. Approval must be granted again by the Athletic Department for each applicable season.
Please be aware that high school practices may occur outside of the regular school transportation schedule. Coaches will communicate specific times and expectations directly with families, and student-athletes will be responsible for their own transportation to and/or from these practices when needed.
Modified sports practices will conclude by 5:30 PM each day to ensure students are able to take the after-school loop buses. On home game days, parents or guardians must pick up their student-athletes from the home game site at the conclusion of the event.
