The extra hour of daylight after school will be nice for the children, but please be sure to plan for an earlier bedtime tonight. This adjustment in clocks can throw us all off for a few days!

Our students are doing a wonderful job in school these days! Our building is happy, healthy, and busy, and this is a great time of year for wonderful growth and academic progress. As noted on our school calendar, we are reserving the afternoon of Friday, April 16th for Parent/Teacher conferences. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon on this day. This is a “check-in” time for many parents, but if you are not specifically invited to a conference before that date and would like one, please be sure to send an email to the teachers with whom you would like to meet. This date will mark the end of the 3rd Quarter of the school year, and all students will be receiving brief Progress Reports. Due to the unique nature of this school year, we are encouraging that conferences be scheduled with as many parents as possible, with classroom teachers, special area teachers, and professional support staff. We want to make sure that home/school communication is strong, and that we are all working together for the benefit of the children.

Our spring break will begin on Monday, March 29th, and it will run through Monday, April 5th. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, April 6th. I have heard from a number of families with remote students stating that they would like their children to return to in-school learning on April 6th. Others will remain remote. This choice is up to you, as you know what is best for your child at this time. Thank you for reaching out to the school office with this information, as we are very busy planning for the spring months. I am so very proud of all we have accomplished together.

Just another reminder that Kindergarten Registration is in full swing. If you have a child who will be turning 5 years old by December 1, 2021, please call the school to make a registration appointment. Thank you for reminding your friends and neighbors to do the same. We look forward to welcoming our newest class of PV Tigers!

All staff and students are invited to wear GREEN on this Wednesday, March 17th, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! I am already seeing the leprechaun stories and projects coming to life in our school. Our students are also very busy learning about Women’s History Month throughout March, and this past week we highlighted International Women’s Day! Our students are so very engaged in their learning, and they have so much to add to class conversations!

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend. Please check the Weekly Notices for important yearbook information.
