Happy February! I hope that you are all safe, warm, and enjoying the snow day!\u00a0 We will be watching the winter weather closely today, so please stay tuned for any messages about tomorrow\u2019s learning plan.\u00a0 (Remember that 2-hour delay days mean a later dismissal time!) In the meantime, enjoy this special time with your children. Spring will be here soon. And we will see what the Groundhog tells us tomorrow!<\/p>\n
On our next day of in-school learning, all students in Grades 1 through 4 returning to the building should safely return any borrowed laptops and chargers in their cases.\u00a0 Kindergarten parents should drop off borrowed laptops between 8:00 and 8:45 AM, or after 9:15 AM.\u00a0 We thank you for your cooperation with the laptop pick-up and return process.\u00a0 We are so fortunate to have these technology devices available for our students.<\/p>\n
All PVES parents should now be able to view the January Narrative Report Cards on the student PVCSD Google drives.\u00a0 Hard copies of these Report Cards will be mailed via U.S. mail to your homes this week.\u00a0 As always, if you have any questions or concerns about your child\u2019s learning progress, please reach out directly to your child\u2019s teachers. All staff can be reached via email at first initial, last name @pvcsd.org. <\/em>Our school phone number is 845-528-8092.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>February is Black History Month!\u00a0 Our teachers will continue to integrate the important lessons of this month into our Social Studies and ELA curriculums, with school bulletin boards and shared literature highlighting this learning. \u00a0We also celebrate President\u2019s Day on Monday, February 15th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n Please see the Weekly Notices for announcements that you don\u2019t want to miss!\u00a0 This Friday, February 5th<\/sup> is PVES Jersey Day!\u00a0 We can\u2019t wait to celebrate the love of sports as a whole school community!<\/p>\n If your child is bringing in paper Valentines for his\/her class, these should be brought to school by Monday, February 8th<\/sup>.\u00a0 No candy treats please.\u00a0 We continue to celebrate our special days in our learning community, all while following all health and safety guidelines.<\/p>\n As we continue to keep our building healthy and safe, I want to remind you all again to please always keep your children home if they are experiencing any signs of illness.\u00a0 Due to the pandemic concerns, even a small cough, stomachache, or a runny nose should be brought to our nurse\u2019s attention.\u00a0 Please contact Mrs. Hill at khill@pvcsd.org<\/a> with any questions.\u00a0 All NYS out-of-state travel regulations and guidelines must also be followed, with quarantine days\/COVID test dates in place.
