We are excited to announce that the Putnam Valley Central School District is prepared to expand our current staff COVID testing pilot to middle and high school students beginning on Monday, January 25, from 8 am-3 pm.<\/p>\n
Individuals would need to schedule an appointment prior to arriving at the building, all testing will be conducted in the Middle School cafeteria.\u00a0 Appointments can be made by filling out the scheduling form below:<\/p>\n
Scheduling Form:\u00a0 https:\/\/forms.gle\/V7UeZy1zaZqDb66U7<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n All students must be accompanied by an adult who will need to sign a consent form once they arrive at the Middle School.\u00a0 After completing the registration process, students will receive a nasal swab (non-invasive) test and will need to wait in their car for the 15 minutes it takes to receive a result of the rapid test.<\/p>\n Important Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n Testing Date:\u00a0 Monday, January 25\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Testing Location: Middle School Cafeteria<\/strong><\/p>\n Testing Time:\u00a0 8 am – 3 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n Test Type:\u00a0 Rapid Antigen (Abbott BinaxNow)<\/strong><\/p>\n Result Time:\u00a0 15 minutes from sample collection<\/strong><\/p>\n Parking:\u00a0 Park in a designated numbered parking spot, remember your spot number<\/strong><\/p>\n Our testing program is designed to screen 20% of all in-person\/hybrid learners in hopes of identifying any potential asymptomatic positive individuals.\u00a0 Individuals who are considered contacts of other known positives or are symptomatic should not come to the school\u2019s testing site and are encouraged to follow up with a physician and receive a molecular PCR COVID test.\u00a0 Individuals who have tested positive within the last 90 days should not be retested.<\/p>\n Our tests will be administered by our school nurses and athletic trainer who have all been certified to administer this non-invasive test.\u00a0 All test results are reported directly to NYS by the Putnam Valley Central School District who will be operating as a state-approved testing laboratory.<\/p>\n The district is currently working on plans to offer COVID testing to our elementary school students.\u00a0 More information will be shared next week on future testing dates and plans.<\/p>\n Everyone receiving a test will leave with a legal document containing their test results.\u00a0 These tests are only available to students who attend the Putnam Valley Central School District and are currently enrolled as Hybrid\/In-Person learners.<\/p>\n *Please note what number spot you are parked in, that is where we will be looking to provide you the test results<\/p>\n Thank you, Good morning, We are excited to announce that the Putnam Valley Central School District is prepared to expand our current staff COVID testing pilot to middle and high school students beginning on Monday, January 25, from 8 am-3 pm.
