We were notified this evening that an employee of the school district\u2019s contracted bus company has tested positive for the COVID virus. After speaking with the Department of Health, we have determined that all schools must operate in remote only status tomorrow, Thursday, November 19<\/strong>, to provide the district time to identify any potential contacts of the positive individual.\u00a0 An update will be provided tomorrow morning regarding contact tracing and if any additional additional remote only days will be necessary. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Out of district transportation, with the exception of the PNW BOCES CTE Program will operate as normal.<\/p>\n We continue to work collaboratively with the Putnam and Westchester County Departments of Health.\u00a0 As required by law, we must maintain confidentiality, which prevents us from further identifying individuals.<\/span><\/p>\n As a reminder, if you believe at any point you may have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you should self-quarantine and speak to your healthcare provider.\u00a0 If you suspect your child is becoming ill, that child should stay home and you should consult with your physician.\u00a0 Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle pain, fatigue, new onset of loss of taste and\/or smell, and sometimes vomiting or diarrhea.<\/span><\/p>\n Visit the\u00a0<\/span>NY State Find a Test Site Near You<\/span><\/a>\u00a0page and enter your address to view a list of the nearest testing sites.
