Dear Putnam Valley Community:<\/p>\n
We were notified today regarding an incident in which a student has reported that a car stopped at their bus stop and asked the student to get into the car.\u00a0 The student refused and safely returned to their home.\u00a0 We immediately contacted the Putnam County Sheriff\u2019s Department who is still actively investigating this incident.\u00a0 Unfortunately, this is all the information we have to share at this time, but felt it was important to share what we can with the community.\u00a0 If the Sheriff\u2019s Department provides additional information that we can share, we will do so immediately.\u00a0 This is an opportunity to reinforce appropriate responses regarding this type of incident with our children.<\/p>\n
