October 2, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear PVES Families,<\/p>\n<p>As we wrap up our fourth week of school, I want to thank you all for your cooperation and support of all we are doing to keep your children learning, growing, and striving for their learning goals.\u00a0 Our PVES students are certainly amazing us every day, and on this busy blue and white PV Pride Day, we are feeling immense school pride.\u00a0 Thank you for sharing your incredible children with us, both in school and from home!<\/p>\n<p>Our Kindergarten and First Grade students are participating in Mandarin Lessons each week, provided to us through Putnam\/Northern Westchester BOCES.\u00a0 Thank you again to our PVEF (Putnam Valley Education Foundation) for making this Mandarin Program possible in the Putnam Valley Central School District this year.\u00a0 We are sincerely grateful to the PVEF for all they do for our schools, and this Mandarin Program is just another example of how PV continues to lead the way.<\/p>\n<p>Please join the Putnam Valley Education Foundation\u2019s 1<sup>st<\/sup> Annual Social Distant Scavenger Hunt, tomorrow, Saturday, October 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, at 11 AM.\u00a0 Thank you for supporting the wonderful work of the Education Foundation.\u00a0 More information can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pvefny.org\">www.pvefny.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you also to our PTA who facilitated the Remote Learner Picture Day today at PVES.\u00a0 Although the weather was less than perfect, our students will have beautiful school pictures, and the PTA-donated water bottles were distributed.\u00a0 Our School Picture make-up day will be held on Tuesday, November 17<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>A 15-minute mandated Early Dismissal will take place on Friday, October 9<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Please make sure you mark your calendars to be at your bus stops early that day, or to pick up your children at school by 2:25 PM.\u00a0 Thank you for making note of this.<\/p>\n<p>Schools will be closed for Columbus Day on Monday, October 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we had a brief visit from our former Superintendent, Dr. Fran Wills.\u00a0 Regent Wills enjoyed walking through our building and seeing all of the wonderful learning taking place.\u00a0 It was so nice to see her, and our engaging classrooms made her so proud!<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy the sunny fall weekend ahead!\u00a0 October is off to a great start at PVES!<\/p>\n<p>Fondly,<br \/>\nDr. Margaret Podesta<br \/>\nPrincipal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear PVES Families, As we wrap up our fourth week of school, I want to thank you all for your cooperation and support of all we are doing to keep your children learning, growing, and striving for their learning goals.\u00a0 Our PVES students are certainly amazing us every day, and on this busy blue and&hellip;
