{"id":8128,"date":"2020-09-03T16:08:55","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T20:08:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pvcsd.org\/?p=8128"},"modified":"2020-09-04T08:59:53","modified_gmt":"2020-09-04T12:59:53","slug":"september-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/index.php\/ms\/middle-school-letter\/september-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"September 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8129\" src=\"http:\/\/pvcsd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/images-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/images-1.jpg 234w, https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/images-1-190x175.jpg 190w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 234px) 100vw, 234px\" \/>Dear PVMS Families,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are excited to see our staff members back in their classrooms and preparing for the upcoming school year while working with technology, and collaborating with colleagues.\u00a0 Our 5th graders visited school for orientation and although they came in socially distanced and wearing their masks, they smiled with their eyes and their hearts, and their minds were filled with curiosity and excitement.\u00a0 It was wonderful to see our classrooms filled with students after nearly 6 months.\u00a0 We know it will be a year unlike any other but we are prepared with a safe environment for all learners.\u00a0 It is imperative for us to partner in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">staying positive, being culturally responsive and empathetic, and staying flexible while focusing on the essentials with regard to academic standards!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A few items of importance before the start school on Tuesday, September 8th.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before getting on a bus or being transported to school, all families should fill out the COVID 19 form that will be emailed on a daily basis.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please ensure that your child comes to school with a mask.\u00a0 It would be helpful if all materials were labeled with your child\u2019s name, including masks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Go to the <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/pvcsd.org\/pvcsd-parent\/home\"><b>Parent\/Tech website<\/b><\/a><b>.\u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be important information with regard to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/pvcsd.org\/pvcsd-parent\/login-to-googlecleverclassroom\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google Classroom<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 Each classroom should be joined before September 8th as some students will start remotely, while others on the hybrid model may also be remote before coming to school in person.\u00a0 This is essential in order to connect with each classroom remotely.\u00a0 Please email your child\u2019s teacher with any questions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to follow our daily schedule please follow these instructions.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once school starts (September 8th), click on the \u201cWeek View\u201d in \u201cMy Schedule\u201d via the parent portal and it will show you a week schedule, as represented in the school\u2019s calendar setup. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cWeek View\u201d is blank right now because school is not in session yet.\u00a0 This will show you the length of each period and when to switch classes.\u00a0 Please note that Mondays will be remote learning days with 42 minute periods.\u00a0 We are on a 12 day rotation with Tuesday &#8211;
