{"id":7791,"date":"2020-05-30T16:25:16","date_gmt":"2020-05-30T20:25:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pvcsd.org\/?p=7791"},"modified":"2020-05-30T16:25:16","modified_gmt":"2020-05-30T20:25:16","slug":"weekly-word-may-30-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/index.php\/es\/es-letter\/weekly-word-may-30-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly Word &#8211; May 30, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear PVES Families,<\/p>\n<p>As we wrap up the month of May, I want to thank you all for the wonderful home\/school supports you are providing for your children.\u00a0 I know that many of you are in touch with your child\u2019s teachers on a regular basis, and the children continue to amaze us with their creativity and resilience.\u00a0 Better days are coming, and we truly appreciate your partnership during this time of distance learning.\u00a0 Most importantly, I hope that you and yours are safe and healthy.\u00a0 It\u2019s certainly a good sign that the state is starting to \u201copen up\u201d a bit.<\/p>\n<p>Our final day of instruction will be Friday, June 19<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 For the next three weeks, our district has asked our teachers to focus on June \u201cpower standards\u201d in both ELA and Math, in order to give the students a focused boost of learning in preparation for September.\u00a0 Please know that these next three weeks of instruction are very important, and there will be a long, relaxing summer after that.\u00a0 Thank you to the teachers for preparing these meaningful lessons.\u00a0 We are all doing our very best to promote academic progress and growth through distance learning.<\/p>\n<p>After instruction ends for the school year, all elementary parents will have the opportunity to drop off school materials and pick up student belongings in our elementary school parking lot.\u00a0 Families will stay in cars while staff members help with the collection and distribution of materials.\u00a0 This will help to ensure efficiency and safety with social distancing.\u00a0 Please mark your calendars for the drop off\/pick up times below:<\/p>\n<p>M<strong>onday, June 22:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>9:00-11:00\u00a0 Grade 4 Drop-off\/Pick up<\/p>\n<p>12:00-2:00\u00a0 Grade 3 Drop-off\/Pick up<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, June 23:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>9:00-11:00\u00a0 Grade 2 Drop-off\/Pick up<\/p>\n<p>12:00-2:00\u00a0 Grade 1 Drop-off\/Pick up<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, June 24:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>9:00-11:00\u00a0 Grade K Drop-off\/Pick up<\/p>\n<p>12:00-2:00\u00a0 Drop-off\/Pick up for anyone who missed Grade Level time<\/p>\n<p>More specific information will follow regarding these events, but it is important that you are aware of the scheduled dates for your child\u2019s grade level.
