Dear PVMS Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

It is our honor to share with you that there are 21 new members of the Putnam Valley Chapter of The National Junior Honor Society.\u00a0 Through years of hard work and determination each student has earned a place in this prestigious organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>When the NJHS was founded in 1929, the hope was to create an organization that would recognize and encourage academic achievement, while developing other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>These ideals of scholarship, character, service, leadership and citizenship remain as relevant today as they were in 1929. Membership is thus both an honor and a commitment.\u00a0 Congratulations to those who have embodied these characteristics and to a future of hard work and commitment to being life-long learners.<\/span><\/p>\n
