Dear Putnam Valley Community:<\/p>\n
We want to let the community know about an incident that occurred this afternoon during the dismissal from the middle\/high school campus.\u00a0As our students were boarding their buses, two adolescents (not from Putnam Valley),\u00a0along with one of our high school students entered one of our buses and inappropriately interacted verbally with our students.\u00a0 The bus-driver intervened and the intruders were removed from the bus. Our SRO was instrumental in detaining these individuals.\u00a0\u00a0We are now working closely with the Putnam County Sheriff’s department to make sure that the matter will be properly handled and resolved. We want to reassure you that all of our students returned to their homes and that our staff acted decisively and effectively. Student safety is our main priority and our administration is addressing the situation.<\/p>\n
