Dear PVMS Families,<\/p>\n
Our April showers have brought May flowers and your children have just started the beginning of the fourth quarter. Please join us in finishing strong these last two months of school.\u00a0 Children will be busy with activities outside of school, but this reminds us to stay on schedule and grow academically.<\/p>\n
Events \u2013 Congratulations to All Involved<\/strong><\/p>\n Our musical, \u201cInto the Woods,\u201d was unbelievable.\u00a0 There was an array of students that came together for this production.\u00a0 The children on stage embodied their roles and became those characters from Cinderella to the Big Bad Wolf.\u00a0 Thank you to the Stage and Scenery Crew, who did all the behind the scene work for the show and of course our actors and actresses.\u00a0 It was truly amazing to see staff, students, and families support this show.\u00a0 We have gifted students who will be moving on to the high school next year to continue the foundation of a very rich and talented community.<\/p>\n Congratulations to our twenty-six new members of the PVMS National Junior Honor Society.\u00a0 These students exemplify: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship.\u00a0 We look forward to hearing about their future goals and accomplishments.\u00a0 They will be volunteering their time at our Family Math Night on May 16th<\/sup>.\u00a0 This is just one of the many opportunities and ways that these students have given back to our community.<\/p>\n End of Year Details<\/strong><\/p>\n Please be on the lookout for a detailed end of the year schedule coming soon.\u00a0 Some important dates to remember is that our Algebra I regents exam will be administered on Wednesday, June 19th<\/sup> at 11:15AM and our Earth Science regents exam will be administered on Thursday, June 20th<\/sup> at 11:15AM.\u00a0 We will have our 8th<\/sup> grade Moving Up Ceremony on Tuesday, June 25th<\/sup> at 5:00PM in the HS PAC.\u00a0 Our last day of school will be on Wednesday, June 26th<\/sup> and this will be a full day of class trips for our students.<\/p>\n Mark Your Calendar <\/strong><\/p>\n Friday, May 3rd<\/sup> \u00a0\u2013 Grades and Comments for the 3rd<\/sup> quarter will be posted.\u00a0 Please check Power School and always contact your child\u2019s teacher with any questions or concerns.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Thursday, May 2nd<\/sup> \u2013 NYS Math Assessments – Students should come prepared with pencils and independent reading books.<\/p>\n Friday, May 3rd<\/sup> \u2013 NYS Math Assessments – Students should come prepared with pencils and independent reading books.<\/p>\n Monday, May 6th<\/sup> \u2013 7th<\/sup> and 8th<\/sup> Grade Chorus Concert<\/strong>\u00a0 – 7:00PM H.S.
