Happy November!\u00a0 We have had a very full week here at the elementary school, and our Halloween festivities were filled with fun and great energy!\u00a0 We thank our District Office neighbors for treating our students and staff to amazing decorations and costume fun on our parade route, and we thank all parents for helping to have your children prepared for the day.\u00a0 We then had a very successful parent conference night last night, and more parent conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 8th<\/sup>, during the day.<\/p>\n The schedule for next week is a busy one!\u00a0 There will be no school for students on Tuesday or Thursday, due to Superintendent\u2019s Conference Day and Parent\/Teacher Conferences.\u00a0 Please mark your calendars.\u00a0 The auditions for the 3rd<\/sup>\/4th<\/sup> Grade Musical begin on Monday, November 5th<\/sup> after school, and picture re-takes are scheduled for Friday, November 9th<\/sup>, along with the Fourth Grade Group Playground Picture.\u00a0 We look forward to seeing our wonderful students on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of next week, all being full days of school.\u00a0 Schools will be closed on Monday, November 12th<\/sup>, in honor of Veteran\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n We thank our Character Education Committee for our whole-school assembly today, focusing on our celebrated Character Traits (being Kind, Safe, Respectful, and Responsible), along with a focus on the value of empathy<\/em>.\u00a0 Please take the time to discuss the meaning of empathy<\/em> with your children, and hopefully, they will have lots to add to the conversation!\u00a0 We want to sincerely thank our PTA for purchasing copies of the book, You, Me,<\/u> and Empathy<\/u>, for all of our classes.\u00a0 We truly appreciate your generosity and partnership.<\/p>\n The PTA\/PVES Book Fair will be open in our Auditorium from Tuesday, November 13th<\/sup>, to the morning of Friday, November 16th<\/sup>.\u00a0 The Book Fair will also be open before the Gym Show on the evening of Wednesday, November 14th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Thank you for allowing your children to purchase books to read at home, if you would like them to.\u00a0 The new books from Scholastic also make great holiday gifts!<\/p>\n Please remember that the PVCSD Facilities Project Vote will take place on December 4th<\/sup><\/u> from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Elementary School.\u00a0 Please view the district website for more information!\u00a0 Thank you!<\/p>\n We hope that you find the fall parent\/teacher conferences informative and helpful.\u00a0 If, for some reason, you missed your conference this week, please make an effort to reschedule as soon as possible.\u00a0 We are aiming to meet with 100% of our parents!
