First Discussion: April 8 &#8211; 11 -Tompkins Corner Cultural"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Community and Staff:<\/p>\n<div>I want to remind you about Putnam Valley&#8217;s Community Read.\u00a0 I think you will agree that the book selection,\u00a0A Man Called Ove is moving and accessible. Please\u00a0consider joining us for any or all of our scheduled book discussions. The dates and times are attached.\u00a0 You will laugh and cry and will not be able to put the book down. It will draw you into a community that is familiar and filled with the challenges we all face. The themes challenge us and lead us to &#8220;our better angels.&#8221; The book speaks to all of us as it explores some foundational life dilemmas:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>How we judge one another<\/li>\n<li>How we care for our neighbors<\/li>\n<li>How we develop the best version of ourselves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>We will host one of the discussions in\u00a0our high school library on\u00a0<strong>Thursday, April 19th at 6:00 PM<\/strong>.\u00a0 You are, of course,\u00a0welcome to attend a discussion at another place in town to enjoy a conversation with more of your\u00a0neighbors!<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pvcsd.org\/community\/community_pdf\/Comm_Read_small.pdf\">Click here<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>A\u00a0Community\u00a0Read\u00a0is a great opportunity to get to know others in the community through sharing thoughts, feelings, and ideas that emerge from a shared experience.
