{"id":19150,"date":"2026-06-01T09:23:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T13:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/?p=19150"},"modified":"2026-06-01T09:23:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T13:23:07","slug":"june-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/index.php\/ms\/middle-school-letter\/june-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"June 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-19151\" src=\"https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/june26.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"100\" \/>Dear PVMS Families,<\/p>\n<p>We have made it to the final month of our 2025-2026 school year.\u00a0 The month of May saw some fluctuation in temperatures and certainly gave us warm days that helped remind us of what summer may look like.\u00a0 Let\u2019s hope the warmer trend continues as we appreciate being able to take our students outside for recess and occasional walks on the wellness trail.\u00a0 With that being said,\u00a0 many of our students do have summer break on their minds and with extended daylight many have extended opportunities to be outside.\u00a0 Although we will be on summer vacation starting on June 27th, we are still engaged in vital learning opportunities and assessments through our last day of school on June 26th. \u00a0 Take some time to speak with your children about completing their HW assignments and studying for assessments throughout this month as it is vital to finish the year strong.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for partnering with us over the course of this school year.\u00a0 The middle years can be an ever changing time for our students.\u00a0 I applaud you and your children for continuing to be engaged, thoughtful, and resilient, through their journey of middle school.\u00a0 It takes a village to raise a child and your support is more important now than ever before especially with all of the outside influences that impact our students.<\/p>\n<p>*Our Eighth Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be taking place on Wednesday, June 24th at 5:00PM in the High School Performing Arts Center.\u00a0 This will be followed by a Moving Up Dance at Cortlandt Colonial from 7:00 &#8211; 9:30PM.<\/p>\n<p><b>Please mark your calendars:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Friday, June 5th &#8211; 8th Grade Band Trip to Calvary Temple \/ Dorney Park<\/p>\n<p>Week of June 8th &#8211; Spring iReady Benchmark Assessments in math and reading.\u00a0 Paper based progress reports will be sent home at the conclusion of the school year.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, June 10 &#8211; Community Project Showcase\u00a0 5:00 &#8211; 6:30 PM &#8211; PVMS Gymnasium &#8211; Our 8th grade students will be presenting their Community Projects to the public. \u00a0 Students will also have the opportunity to present during the school day to grades 5\u20137.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, June 10 &#8211; Art Show 5:00 &#8211; 6:30 PM &#8211; PVMS Dining Hall and Hallways.
